Partnership for
the goals
Our stakeholders are fundamental for our development as a company. We listen to their needs and share our way of thinking and acting to promote a constructive dialogue.

Our approach

Attention to context
We periodically evaluate our sustainability strategy and the priority of topics based on their importance to our stakeholders. By doing so, we critically question our business decisions, which we subject not only to a profitability analysis, but also (among other things) to an analysis of impact, human rights, and biodiversity.

Attention to needs
We listen to and carefully evaluate our stakeholders’ opinions and suggestions, gathered through formal and informal channels.

Collaboration and dialogue
We interact regularly with all of our stakeholders by means of numerous activities and on many occasions.

Sustainability Report as dialogue platform
The Report is essential for sharing our results and the measures we implement. The new digital version, launched in 2020, involves everyone more dynamically and provides stakeholders the option of focusing on topics most important to them.

Highlights

Projects, collaborations and other important activities.

The precioustous.com portal has been improved
In 2020, we launched our portal devoted to our constant efforts to remain a sustainable and responsible company. The comments and suggestions received from our stakeholders during the year have allowed us to improve the portal, making it even simpler to use and enjoy.

Working with experts
We continued to work with our "sounding board," a group of experts in sustainability, representatives of industry and academia that supports our programme of continuous improvement in the sphere of responsibility.

Collaboration with stakeholders in hard times
To manage and respond as well as possible to the situation created by the pandemic, we collaborated and coordinated with many different stakeholders: employees, clients, suppliers, local and cantonal authorities, fire brigade and police, etc. We believe these collaborations were successful, and made us realize that our values are not just nice words written on the walls of our offices, but qualities that we apply every day. The pandemic has made our ties with our stakeholders even closer, and the solidarity that everyone demonstrated was exemplary.

Collaboration with the market
There were highly unusual conditions for the precious metals market in 2020: forced closures of mines and refineries generated a sharp increase in demand due to a shortage of raw materials and strong imbalances at the geographic level. We believe that we, and other Swiss refineries, played a key role in helping some clients in difficulty and in promoting the recovery and rebalancing of the market.

How do we involve our stakeholders?

Our plan to constantly improve our company and the entire industry can remain successful only by continuing to involve our stakeholders.
